Director and Founder
Chris Robin
I have worked in the drug and alcohol sector for 26 years. During this time I have developed an in-depth awareness of the substance use field.
As an ex-service user who went through the treatment system I came into the field wanting to make a difference for the service user, to support their hope, to help to maintain their belief in their dreams and goals, and to never believe that they were just another statistic.
I qualified as a counsellor in 1996 and went on to get a Diploma in ‘Psychotherapy in Groupwork Skills’. I believe that the professional and theoretical combination have allowed me to become a highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced trainer, facilitator and worker. I have delivered training all over the UK and Ireland, as well as overseas, where I have found that the interventions that I promote are transferable to other continents and cultures.
I am the co-author of the book “Crack Cocaine the Open Door” and together with 2 other professionals, was instrumental in developing a new model of intervention called “The Resonance Factor” which is the property of ‘Janus Solutions’.
I have worked in various settings in the drug and alcohol sector including residential rehabs, prescribing services, probation, prisons, day programmes and outreach services. I have worked at various levels and for the last 13 years I was a co-founder and director of Janus Solutions.
I am passionate, creative and think outside of the box and my reputation is built on my skills of engagement, with both professionals and service users.
I have a healthy respect for all models of intervention.
